TATTOO AFTERCARE

Immediately remove the wrap that is taped on and begin washing the tattoo with unscented, antibacterial soap (Dial, Dr. Bronner's, etc.) and warm water.

WEEK 1:

Continue to wash the tattoo 3x daily and cover with a light application of a dense unscented moisturizer (Hustle Butter, Aquafor, A&D Ointment, etc.).

WEEK 2:

Wash the tattoo 2-3x daily and cover it with a light application of an unscented moisturizer (Aveeno, Lubriderm, Jergens, etc.)

ALWAYS:

Keep the tattoo area free from any bacteria (dirt, pet hair, chemicals, makeup, etc.)
Wash the tattoo before applying ointment or lotion.
Keep tattoo open to air. No tight fit clothing.
Refrain from picking or scratching the tattoo. Scabbing is a normal part of the healing process and in order to allow it to look as intended, you must let your body do what it naturally does best.
Keep your tattoo away from hazards such as falling, hitting, or scraping it against surfaces.
Refrain from soaking any tattooed area until it is completely healed. This includes baths, hot tubs, spas, and swimming.

It can be left on for 1-7 days after your tattoo appointment. You can remove it whenever you are most comfortable, from the day of your appointment to the week after.
When ready, the best place to remove it is in the shower with warm water and unscented and antibacterial soap. In a circular motion, rub a small amount of soap and water on the top edge of the bandage and gently pull it down. Repeat every few inches with a light soap and wash until the bandage is completely removed.
